In water treatment projects, pressure vessels play an indispensable and important role.
In the water purification process, pressure vessels are widely used in membrane treatment processes. For example, in the reverse osmosis system, pressure vessels provide the necessary accommodation space for membrane elements and withstand the operating pressure. The reverse osmosis membrane needs to work under a certain pressure to achieve effective separation of impurities, salts and other substances in water. Pressure vessels can ensure that the pressure difference on both sides of the membrane is stable, so that water molecules can pass through the membrane, while other impurities are intercepted, thus obtaining high-quality purified water. This process is of vital importance for the production of drinking water, industrial ultrapure water, etc.

In the disinfection of water, pressure vessels also have unique applications. For example, in some water treatment equipment that uses ozone disinfection, pressure vessels are used to store and control ozone gas. Ozone is a strong oxidant that can effectively kill bacteria, viruses and microorganisms in water. Pressure vessels ensure that ozone is fully in contact with water at appropriate pressure and concentration, improving the disinfection effect, while ensuring the safety of the operation process and preventing ozone leakage from causing harm to the environment and operators.
In the deep treatment stage of wastewater treatment, pressure vessels help some advanced oxidation processes. For example, in the Fenton reaction, pressure vessels can control the pressure, temperature and other conditions of the reaction to promote the generation of hydroxyl radicals, which can decompose organic pollutants that are difficult to biodegrade in wastewater, improve the biodegradability of wastewater, or directly mineralize pollutants into harmless substances.
The application of pressure vessels in water treatment projects runs through many key links such as water purification, disinfection and deep treatment. Its rational application not only improves the efficiency and quality of water treatment, but also ensures the safety and stability of the water treatment process, which has far-reaching significance for meeting the growing demand for water resources and environmental protection requirements.
