In industrial production, pressure vessels, as crucial equipment for carrying high-temperature, high-pressure media, are widely used in the chemical, energy, pharmaceutical, and metallurgical industries. Customized pressure vessels operating under high-pressure conditions place particularly stringent design and safety requirements. How to meet process requirements while ensuring operational safety has become a core concern for both suppliers and users.

First, during the design phase, the operating pressure, temperature range, and media characteristics of the pressure vessel must be clearly defined. Under high-pressure conditions, the selection of vessel materials is particularly critical. Common carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloy steel materials require a comprehensive evaluation based on their pressure resistance, corrosion resistance, and toughness. Designers typically perform strength calculations and structural verifications based on standards such as ASME, GB, and PED to ensure that customized pressure vessels maintain sufficient safety margins under extreme operating conditions.
Second, the structural design must be sound. High-pressure vessels often utilize thick-walled cylindrical structures, and the weld layout should minimize stress concentrations. Furthermore, the internal structure should be tailored to actual process requirements, with supports, baffles, and spray devices strategically arranged to avoid localized overpressure. For vessels operating under special conditions, thermal stress analysis and fatigue life assessment should also be considered to ensure long-term, stable operation.
During the manufacturing process, welding quality is crucial for safety. High-pressure vessels typically utilize advanced processes such as automatic welding and argon arc welding, supplemented by non-destructive testing (UT, RT, PT, etc.) to ensure tight welds and defect-free welds. Suppliers must also conduct rigorous hydrostatic and pneumatic tests before delivery to verify overall strength and sealing performance.
Finally, safety accessories are essential. High-pressure pressure vessels should be equipped with safety valves, bursting discs, and pressure and temperature monitoring devices to provide timely pressure relief or alarms in the event of an abnormality, thereby preventing major accidents.
The design and safety requirements for custom-made pressure vessels for high-pressure applications encompass multiple aspects, including material selection, structural design, manufacturing processes, and safety accessories. Only by strictly adhering to international and industry standards and selecting qualified suppliers for customization can the safe operation and longevity of the equipment under complex operating conditions be ensured.
